7月24日讯 特巴斯针对自己被西班牙体育行政法院（TAD）立案调查一事做出了回应（详情请参阅本文所附相关新闻），他表示：弗洛伦蒂诺不想让我再当西甲主席，他不会得逞的。
特巴斯说：“我告诉你们，弗洛伦蒂诺-佩雷斯是不会成功的。有些人还没去打猎就在卖熊皮，但让他们想一想，事情不应是这么做的，我不会被停职，（与皇马打官司）这将是一条漫长的道路，我希望能最终赢得比赛。”
“问题很清楚，那就是皇马主席弗洛伦蒂诺的私心，（就他的商业计划）弗洛伦蒂诺既无法说服西班牙的俱乐部，也无法说服欧洲的俱乐部，因此他正试图寻找其他方法来摆脱我这位经合法选举产生的西甲主席，西甲绝大多数俱乐部都支持我，弗洛伦蒂诺他不会得逞的。”
